Dexter P. Baño Jr. is a NASA Space Apps mentor and Founder and CEO of two startups - one is Pormento, a military-grade and space-grade food product manufacturer and Orbital Exploration Technologies (OrbitX) which goals are to work on a fully reusable space rocket system that is fully powered by biofuel from algae and to make the Philippines a part of space-fairing civilization. He is also a fellow of Asian Institute of Management Future Bridging Leaders Program. He was dubbed by BusinessMirror as the "Pioneer of Food for Outer Space." He is also the founder of Project Pagmamahal, an online-based charity that reaches hundreds of people through books. He is also a member of Voyager Space Outreach, an international organization of space enthusiasts and experts.

Dexter was the OIC - President of the QCPU - Young Entrepreneurs Society for two years. During his leadership, JCI - Quezon City awarded their organization as one of the leading youth organizations not just in the Metro but also in the entire Philippines. His belief in impactful and servant leadership lead their organization to held its historic open-house entrepreneurship conference last 2017, the QCPU Annual Entrepreneurship Conference (QAEC).

Enriquez Jr. gave him a Service Award for his exceptional service to his community, to innovation and to entrepreneurship. IdeaSpace Foundation, one of Philippines' startup enabler under the MVP Group of Companies trained him as a scholar and graduated as "Young Innovator". He is a 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines Member - Advocate and finished courses about Sustainable Development in different platforms like Microsoft.

Dexter is a graduate of BS in Entrepreneurship at Quezon City Polytechnic University and he is currently applying for his Masters in Business Administration and will pursue his Graduate Studies in Astrophysics this year. He has interests in the field of commercial space, Artificial Intelligence, longevity and other moonshot ideas to name.

In 2016, he was lifted into Knighthood by Knights of Columbus and now he is also a Postulant of the Order of the Knights of Rizal.
