Who are we?

The Junior Philippine Computer Society Mapúa University Chapter or JPCS Mapúa is a student organization in Mapúa University and a recognized chapter of the Junior Philippine Computer Society National Incorporated, founded in January 1989. We aim to provide our members with experience and knowledge in the ICT industry.

The Standing Committees

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE 

This committee handles all the members, applicants, and alumni of the organization. They monitor their contribution and activity within the organization, and guide the applicants during the application phase. They are also in charge of the activities and events that are conducted for the benefit of the members, applicants, and alumni such as orientations and general assemblies.

PROJECT COMMITTEE

This committee handles the establishment and support of strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations for the growth and acquisition of resources of the organization. They provide the seminars and workshops that impart knowledge and skills to the members and applicants of the organization, and to the students of the university.

SPORTS & RECREATIONAL COMMITTEE

The Sports and Recreational Committee handles the major activities of the organization that are interactive and competitive such as the Sports Fest and Amazing Race.

INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

The Information Committee handles the relay and deployment of information to all members, applicants, and alumni of the organization regarding announcements, events, and activities. They handle and monitor the official social media accounts of the organization for publicity, social relevance, and promotion.

PROPERTY & CONTROL COMMITTEE

The Property and Control Committee handles the properties of the organization such as materials, costumes, papers, and documents. They supervise the JPCS domicile to maintain its cleanliness, safety, and proper state. They are also in charge of the creation of costumes, paroles, and floats for organizational activities of the university such as Teknorampa and Paskong Mapúan.

CREATIVES COMMITTEE

The Creative Committee handles all the publication materials required for the publicity of the organization. They also handle the design of org merchandise such as t-shirts, lanyards, etc. During the current tenure, the Creative Committee designed and developed the official JPCS-Mapúa Chapter ID for all members of the organization which sports unique QR codes for easy monitoring of attendance in organizational events.
